Since a listing for the new Keg on Hunt Club hasn't appeared I will review it here.
The Keg on Hunt Club might be the location that we in Ottawa have been all waiting for. It has a much more fancier design than the one Downtown and plenty of free parking that's easy to use instead of the paid or hard-to-find free parking in the crowded Byward Market area. The inside is exquisite and 21st century without any of the slight dive
look of Downtown. It's almost at the level of Hy's or Friday's but without the bookcases or portraits. The added benefit is it is a new building and so it hasn't had a history of smokers in it. Same great service, same great food, same reasonable prices for what they have. The steak I had was cooked to perfection; sadly they were out of the Prime Rib I wanted on this Saturday night. The bread they serve is a meal unto itself; you need to share it as it is rich, buttery and very heavy. I'll certainly come here again as now I don't have to go downtown and this location is closer and more accesible. Some love The Keg, some hate the Keg. I love The Keg.
