Excellent food. One of the best foie gras I have had in a long time. Nice terrasse, but you have to reserve if you want to guarantee yourself a spot. I really liked the creative menu with so many choices, all made with local products. It is great that you can bring your own wine because the meals tend to be on the more expensive side. The service was attentive and our group had a really good time. My compliments to the chef!

I was very impressed with everything from the service to the quality and taste of the food we had. I liked the portions, which permitted us to have many courses without feeling like we over ate. The presentation of each course was original and beautiful. Our bill represented the quality and service we received ($$$). I think this restaurant is an excellent treat for anyone who wants to spoil themselves and appreciates great gastronomy.

I love bring your own wines! I have been here twice and both times the food was excellent. The place has a very nice decor and ambiance. Our waiter was pleasant and had a good personality. In general, I give this restaurant a 10.

I can't beleive that I have passed this place so many times and never thought of eating here before. However, I have been to the club upstairs to salsa dance. One day a friend invited me to go for supper and I am so glad that I went because the food is excellent. It is not like the kind of food you would eat at 3 Amigos or Carlos & Pepe's. It is more similar to the type of food you would eat at Guadelupe Mexcicain. It was a lot more authentic than many Mexican restaurants around town. The prices are very reasonable and there is a terasse in front, so I will definitely be adding this place to my list of hangout spots for the summer. Ohhhh, and if you eat at the restaurant I think you get to go to the salsa club upstairs for free(otherwise there is a $4 cover). The club has a nice abmbiance unlike some that feel more like pick-up joints. This club is usually full of salsa students who are eager to test out their newly learned dance moves. If you enjoy mexican food you will not be disappointed at Cactus.

Ohhhhhhhhhh my God!!!! I had a feeling that this was going to be good because all of the reviews were good and Laurent Godbout is a renowned chef in Québec. Even with very high expectations I was still very pleasantly surprised and overly impressed with everything. Every plate that was served to us was unique in its presentation. Simple meals that I am familiar with arrived in front of me looking like nothing I have seen before and tasting different, but in such a good way. The chef really is adventurous in mixing flavours that you would not usually think of putting together. All of the mixture really enhanced the taste of the food. The service was more than excellent. The waiters were able to recommend wins and explain the composition of every dish. They always checked to see if everything was satisfactory and they were prompt at filling our water glasses, wine glasses, bread basket... I don't know what this restaurant looked like before but they told me that they had just renovated it. It looked great. As the restaurant filled up the ambiance grew warmer. All in all this is a restaurant that all you gastronomy lovers have to try. Trust me, it is soooooooo goooooood!!!!

I was very impressed with the decor and the ambiance as I walked into this restaurant and the service was excellent. The waiters explained the menu to us and catered to our every need. Because everything was so expensive I was expecting better cuisine than what I got. The portions are good and I liked everything, but I have had much better. I would recommend this restaurant for everyone to experience at least once, but personally I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. I prefer a BYOW where you can get really good quality cuisine for a more reasonable price. At this restaurant I don't think you are really getting good value for your dollar.

I went on a Thursday night and it was not very busy so the service was impeccable. The cuisine was excellent. I had a terrine de caribou and I loved the carrot and orange confit that accompanied it. For the main course I had a rabbit fricassé and the sauce was to die for. My plate was full of different types of vegetables, which is healthy and tasted great. The ambiance was very cozy. The only reproach I have is that on the night when I went I found that the place looked dusty (the windows and even our wine glasses). But, that is something that they can fix easily and everything else was so perfect that I would definitely go again.

A few girlfriends and I decided to go out for supper before going out. What an enjoyable night we had at this restaurant. They make cuisine from L'Ile de la Réunion. I had never heard of that island before now. It was delicious carribean style cooking. I a few entrés to taste and everything was spicy the way that I like it. I ordered a stewed pork and the juices were full of flavour. The service was excellent and the waiter explained the menu for us. The restaurant is small and had dimmed lights. With that atmosphere and good company we felt as if we were a bunch of friend having supper at someone's house (maybe that was after a couple of bottles of wine). I will definitely be going back.

I had a "Crème brulée au foie gras" that was absolutely decadent. My husband had Ostrich in a cranberry sauce and found it delicious. The presentation of the plates were nice and the atmoshere was warm and cozy. Everything was so good and the best part is that Yoyo is a "Bring your own wine" restaurant. The prices are reasonable but there is no table d'hote so you have to buy everything separately ("entrée" meal dessert).

I reserved in advance so that I could be close the the music. Everything was so wonderful. The service was quick and very friendly. I enjoyed the fried clamari with the creamy garlic sauce. I ordered the penne arrabiata and loved the fresh and spicy tomato sauce. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignion and I tasted a little piece. It was medium rare and excellent. We absolutely loved listening to live music (the Chris Terry Project). I would strongly recomend this place to anyone who is looking for a cozy place to spend a nice night out eating, drinking and listening to music.
