If you like Swiss Fondue, you might want to check elsewhere. The bread they served with the fondue was not fresh! It should have been FRESH and crisp-instead it was rubber-like (you know, not fresh!). Very expensive for a fondu for two (including coffee and dessert - $70+) even if you bring your own wine!!!

This place used to have the best Chinese food in town. I think they must have changed chefs a few times in the last couple of years. The food is now mediocre. Too bad because it used to be such a great spot. The place is spotless though. It’ still a nice little place with great service...but when you pay for food!!!

This place USED to be good. No more!! We thought we would give it another try after two recent o.k. experiences this summer. We tried the liver and the mahi mahi. Bland, no taste! The accompanying carrots must have been reheated several times. Awful taste! They need to stop reheating their veggies and all the other stuff that comes with the main course. Salad and soup were average. The desserts were fine. Service was slow- but what can you expect when the waitress has to prepare the salads and wash the cutlery, and serve people and do whatever else she’s doing that someone else should be doing. Ambiance is nice, that’s about it. Total waste of money, won’t be back.

Second we come here for dinner. The first time we made reservations and arrived in a packed resaurant at night and got our table quickly. The food was quite good. Sushis and Makis were fresh. Mikado salad was fresh and crunshy! Service was good and friendly. The only thing that might hold me from coming back are the food crumbs found on the banquette and floor when we arrived. Didn't notice this the first time. We were the first to arrive when the restaurant opened. Didn't check out the bathroom. Overall experience was good but found it a bit pricy. Might come back.

Finally- a great new restaurant serving delicious Indian food. Everything about this restaurant is brand new - fresh paint, new furniture, new carpet, dish ware, utensils lamps , EVERYTHING. Even the owners look new (just kidding!) Now this may only seem a detail to some but the place is impeccably clean. I even managed to peak ito the kitchen when I picked up my take out food and YES the place is clean. Now add to this excellent food (generous portions) and great service and what do you get? Something very rare in Montreal when it comes to Indian food . And the owners and staff are very friendly. If their food quality remain consistent, I?ll keep coming back. Highly recommended.

Who knows why this place is tucked away on the second floor on Greene Avenue! It?s a cozy little place. We dropped by for take out because we were in a hurry. My girlfriend isn't usually too keen on sushi but she tried it again that night and loved it! We waited about 20 minutes for our order and were not disappointed. Fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Some of the best sushi I?ve tasted in a long time. This is a eat-in restaurant and not a take out counter like the far too many small joints springing up all over the place in Montreal dishing out mediocre sushi. Kashima has real sushi chefs who have a good handle on their art! We were even offered tea while we waited for our order. Will definitely go back. If you love sushi and are tired of the same old busy fast-paced snobby places and want to relax and enjoy great food Kashima is a definite must try! Do like us and have it for take out if you?re in a hurry.
